It's not too bad on the weight. A little heavier than my now foot stooled B&W G3.

I am now typing from the G5. I hooked up my Ti via Target Disc Mode and am in the process of copying over my docs and whatnot. Unfortunately my Ti has a larger HD than the G5. So I will copy what I can, run to Fry's pick up a 300GB SATA HD, clone the 80GB hd on to it and continue copying stuff from the Ti.

I am really loving this machine. I spent an hour in Civ4 and ran great! It'll run on the Ti, but very slowly.

I truly have entered a whole new world in terms of what OS X can do with a real processor. This single 1.6 blows me away. I know it benches faster than *most* dual G4 setups and that alone means a lot to me.

A friend of mine has a dual 2.0 tower with 4GB of RAM and a 5TB Raid Array (E-SATA) and his machine is insanely fast. I still wish that IBM hand't dropped the ball on the PowerPC architecture and that I could look forward to getting a coveted G6 someday. Until that day comes (holds candle) I will be more than happy with my *new* G5.
