The battery is not obviously leaking but I'm sure it's dead. Should it still be bootable with a dead battery?

I have removed and reseated everything removable, including the CPU card and CPU.

If I remove ALL the RAM SIMMs, I get the green "Chip RAM bad" error screen. If I reinstall just the Chip RAM SIMM, I get a grayish video raster and that's all.

There are no devices attached at all, and I've left it sit about 10 minutes, both with and without the two SCSI hard drives attached to the Warp Engine.
