Another slightly more obscure option which I intend to investigate is SCSI-PCMCIA and a PCMCIA-CF sleeve. I have a driverless SCSI-PCMCIA box here that I picked up from ebay.us with the help of someone here. Just haven't got around to testing it.
Previous discussions here and at the 'fritter seem to indicate it should work.
