There was a Radius video card in one of the slots. I'm assumning that someone has tried the old "use a PCI video card and 9500 ROM SIMM" trick to get it to boot Mac OS before. Other than that, just the 200mhz upgrade processor card, a CD-ROM, DAT drive and several hard drives.

It weighs about 20 pounds more than a Daystar Genesis tower, so it is heavy, probably close to a hundred pounds.

A file server for the Mac side of my network. The current file server is a WGS8150.

There's nothing wrong with that however, RS/6000s are really top-class UNIX machines. I don't get on that well with AIX but if it annoys you too much I daresay most versions of PPC Linux would run on it too.

YDL has a kernel for the ANS and seems to be the flavor of choice as well as one of the BSD's.

The motherboard looks like a hybrid of the Tsunami from the 9500 class of PowerMac and a RS/6000. Some things are Mac like ADB and Cuda, the non-cascaded interrupts for the PCI slots are very RS as is the on board SCSI and video chip set.
