It's really just an IBM RS/6000 with an Apple sticker on, you know :p
There's not hing wrong with that however, RS/6000s are really top-class UNIX machines. I don't get on that well with AIX but if it annoys you too much I daresay most versions of PPC Linux would run on it too.

Except that there is a limit as to what version of AIX you can run on it.
