Final question (I hope) on this thread.
How would I tell if a 8600/9600 had the Kansas board? Part number, serial number, obvious physical difference??
If you have an 8600/9600 and the speed rating is 250, 300, or 350mhz then it is a Mach V/Kansas machine. The CPU module will have the words High Performance Processor Card Model 1100 written across the top and the 4 identifier pads (250, 300, 350, 400 but the 400 was never used). The motherboard will have the letters KAN on it someplace. There are other ways, I'm sure, but I always go for the obvious.
