Final question (I hope) on this thread.
How would I tell if a 8600/9600 had the Kansas board? Part number, serial number, obvious physical difference??
If you have an 8600/9600 and the speed rating is 250, 300, or 350mhz then it is a Mach V/Kansas machine. The CPU module will have the words High Performance Processor Card Model 1100 written across the top and the 4 identifier pads (250, 300, 350, 400 but the 400 was never used). The motherboard will have the letters KAN on it someplace.
Great! That sounds pretty simple. Thanks for the help.
