what did it set you back ?

a kidney ?

$29 was the price...buy it now auction. i have wanted one of these for years and now i got one!!

unbelievably lucky ;p

pardon me for being ignorant, but what machine is it intended for? is it a PDS insert, or what?

its a nubus card

They are nice to play with (I have a couple 25mhz versions).

If you need the serial for rocketshare (where the card runs as a seperate computer) PM and I will give it to you (hard to find one on the net).

They can be used as CPU upgrades or to make multi processor systems out of Nubus machines.

Slap a few in an 840AV or 950 and you've got a very badass old-school machine.

Heck I'd be happy with and 840AV.

You are stuck with OS 7.1 from what I remember if using Rocketshare, and they do a double boot if you use them as the main processor.

They are best used in old machines like a Mac II or IIx (68020 or slow 68030), both mine came out of dead/yellowed to hell mac IIx's I stripped at a guys house years ago.

well they are stuck with os 7.1 using the rocketware software. u can use them with 7.5 or above when using rockshare and rocketware software. i have both software installers aleady thanks to yahoo groups
