Powerbook 190cs/66 ?

It's 33 MHz. Sometimes, 68040 chips are referred to as double their actual speed rating because the clock input runs at double the main speed.

Read note 1 on your linked page:

This model is designated as having a 66 MHz processor, since theclock input runs at 66 MHz. However, the processor itself is not

"clock doubled", so technically it is only a 33 MHz processor.
Thanx. I read the note but wasn't sure what speed it ran at effectively. Sounds like some clever marketing by Apple!

I believe it was done as a way of competing with PC manufacturers, who at the time were using 66 Mhz 486DX2/66's.

I guess 33 looked pretty slow compared to their own PowerMacs, too !
