While I should not guarantee that it would work under wet cement, the old StyleWriter II is pretty rugged. Not always graceful in operation, but—let's face it—if your car had somehow lost its wheels, you'd look favourably at wheels taken from Barney Rubble's vehicle, just to be able to keep your own going.
And a damned sight easier than fiddling about to run a USB printer from, say, a Classic II.
