Mac SE Ethernet Driver Arsenal
My last final is at 2 PM PST. Afterwards, I plan on getting my Mac SE's Ethernet working. I have never gotten it to work before
I was rummaging through a pile of SE's and saw that this one had an ethernet card. I of course was in an extreme hurry to max it out ... I dropped a 80MB hd in it (wishing I had dropped a 200 or 500, thought when i find the screw to open it again, I think I am going to drop in a 9 gig) I forgot to grab the drivers for it. I think that it might have had a clean install on it with no drivers though.
I need to build a machine with a floppy drive because I do not have a serial cable :'( .
Is there anyone out there with some kind of driver archive dating back this far?
If not, I would be glad to post them on my spurratic server, if you guys can send me them.
Let's see if I can get this done. I have always been facinated by ppl turning these into webservers. I could make it into a hotline server }

Did you take a look at the collection over at macdrivermuseum.net? See http://www.macdrivermuseum.net/network.shtml for network-related stuff. I think you'll find what you need there.
2Gig is your limit.I think I am going to drop in a 9 gig
I have a SE with ethernet, it took a while to find the drivers for it. Do you know exactly what card it is?

That's not quite right. You can put quite large drives in an SE, as long as all partitions are smaller than 2GB.
I can't find out what kinda card it is right now, I don't have the long torx to open it. I believe it was asante something.
Here's a link to a disk image for the Asante Ethernet card in my SE. You're welcome to try it...
