i have selected ethernet but i havent turned the rest off i might need to do that just in case

and i am getting the damn i am talking to my self ip adresses when the cable is reported to be plugged in

and i stil dont get a connection on either when i manually configure my connection and they are reported to be active

the 500 mhz might have a dead ethernet controller ( the plug is supiciously brown ) but the cable is reported by both to be plugged in
