I paid $5 for a Power Mac 7200, display, keyboard, and mouse from a garage sale. I sold one of the PCI cards out of it (GPIB) for $200 on eBay. Best haul ever in terms of that.

Wow. That's nuts. What kind of card was it? (I'm not sure what GPIB stands for)

Something like that happened to me once, except it was a rare book I came across in a library sale.. a 1932 first english edition Mein Kampf. (No, I'm not a nazi) But I knew it was worth money.

I paid $10 for it, took it home, and found that it was worth approximately $300.

I need to start going to more garage sales.

...I hope I'll come across a B&W G3 one of these days too.
