About the keyboard: is it set to Dvorak? You can switch between Qwerty and Dvorak using the button above the keyboard. I forget what its labled, but look and press it. Try a external floppy drive abdsee if that works.

Yeah, that's a good point but i sorta doubt it would be causing the random letters to be thrown up on the screen.
