New Glasses!!!
Yes, it's that time again. Time for new Glasses!!! I just got tested today and now have my prescription in hand. Not sure what I am going to get, but I will let you know!!! I am pushing for the ones that automatically tint when you go outside and clear up when you are inside (Polarized???)
Anyways, I haven't had new glasses since 2003. When I got out of HighSchool!!! Wow. I Also have had 3 new laptops since then too
Well, should I say "Apple" Laptops. I have like 3 Older Pentium III/II/1 Laptops since then.

Umm...those are called "photochromic" lenses. Polarized lenses are those which reflect glare.
I had the photochromic ones a while ago, and they were just a nuisance. They took too long to get back to normal, and even then, they'd still be dark-looking.

I love the transitions(old word for the color changing ones), just a note, since the glasses use the UV to change, they do not work in a car or house.
Polarized lenses make everything brighter, in my experience, yet its easier on the eyes than the non-polarized light. I love them. You normally get them as sun glasses though. I had them as magnetic "clip-ons" for my glasses back when I still wore them (I broke them in the shop one day and haven't bothered to replace them).
I have the transitions and they're nice but if they cost any extra don't bother.
I find that my transitions with the polarization makes colors way more richer.
Question--are you photosensitive? If so you will definitely want something that can get dark, be it a magnetic/spring-loaded sunglasses attachment or the Transitions® (yes, that's a brand name) lenses. Check around with people who have bought them from whatever optical you are going to, I've heard some are better than others.
I am very photosensitive and normally wear sunglasses all the time when I'm outside unless it's really dark out. They help you see better and also prevent macular degeneration.
