I ordered another display off of ebay for $34 shipped. the speed of the machine is just fine, mainly because I have enough ram.

This setup still rocks! it's not that far off from my Pismo that I had. I am going to trick this out

FYI, I am going to test the battery and see how long it takes to go out. It seems to be a 3rd party battery from 2006. so I might get some pretty good time out of it
