Poo. This morning I plugged it in and hit the button, and NOTHING. I wanted to add the Airport update and some fancy desktop pictures, maybe get it online with the wireless card. Heck.

Tried disconnecting the PRAM again and the keyboard. When I listen closely there's a very faint whine when it's plugged in but no bong. (sigh) :'(
