Screen-savers Software 4 posts Mar 9, 2008 — Mar 12, 2008
When I was about 7-10, I got my dad's Macintosh SE (after he upgraded to a performa). It's long gone now, but one thing I remember is the fun screen-savers it had. Now I'm 17 and have a Mac Classic II (fully working thanks to the help I got from an earlier thread). It's got Word and Powerpoint and other apps on it, lots of fun. One thing though: I can't find any screen-savers in the control panel or anywhere on the computer! :(

How can I get some screen-savers for my Mac, and other software for it? Is there a site with tons of old apps that I can download and transfer via floppy to the Classic?

Thanks for your help

DarkSide of the Macintosh is freely downloadable, and still available from the author. The other popular screensavers for the Mac were Pyro! and After Dark, neither of which are freely (and legally) available or still available from the makers. However, they are "out there", and if you know where to find them, well, yeah. ;)
Underware is a nice one an the demo for version 2 is freely available
Pyro is very nice as well. It might be hard to find.
