128K back from the dead
ah..a great day, indeed...was able to bring back a dead 128k from
macintosh hell...took it part...cleaned the heck outta it...via 409.
washed the motherboard in the sink...and let it dry...did some
re soldering...but will eventually re do the entire board....
replaced the analog board from a donor 128... and voila, it boots
get a kick when i go to the finder, and it reads 128k... what a hoot.
with an external floppy drive, to go with the internal one...it's back to
the days of floppy swapping mania.....strange with no hard drive.
installed a battery...and so far, it's holding up..
just got done playing missile command on it.....my G5 AND INTEL mac pals, look at me like I'm some sort of mac dinosaur....
it's always a treat, to bring any number of compact macs, back from the dead...even sweeter, when it's the original mac, that started it all..
such humble beginnings the 128k....

You double posted though, go back and delete the other one.
With two floppy drives, you should not have floppy swapping "mania" just routine floppy swapping.
Which system are you running?

ummm, I'm running mac OS 3.0 on the 128k....
if i can dig up OS 1.0 I'll run that......
anyhow, still running...even after turning on and off, many times, over the
past few hours....but who knows....she might wanna take the day off....
Once I finish going over the MB...these glitches, should go bye bye..
on the flip, it's a 24 year old mac.....so I'll cut it some slack
The original analog board can be fixed! Have you tried?replaced the analog board from a donor 128... and voila, it boots
