Normally I hate when people say what I'm about to say, but...
... isn't it interesting how these 15-year old Macs, which were pretty much bottom-of-the-line even when they were current models, last forever and almost never break? I mean, really, I've had at least 20 LC-series machines come through my house over the years, and aside from a few dead PRAM batteries and one dead hard drive, I've never had a single problem with any of them.

Even old Color Classics and AIO LCs seem to last much longer than, say, iMac G3s.

Thoughts?

Going forward from now, capacitor plague will start claiming most of the old LCs. Almost every LC board I see (pizza box or AIO) has at least started to leak capacitor fluid.

I also deal in a lot of iMac G3s. Most common problem seems to be the hard drive. I have one here where some kids literally bored out the two USB ports so now you can't plug in anything USB; the motherboard is basically ruined, unless I can somehow fashion on new USB ports.
