Well I just got System 7 on my PowerBook 145B and closed the lid... the left hinge fell out of its screw and ripped the ribbon cable... I now have to mourn the loss of the Laptop that had a working PRAM battery and that I was going to work on to make better (Fix the trackball, clean keyboard, install a new OS) and Its gone :'( . I am very sad about this.
All is not lost. Something like that should be repairable,it's just a matter of finding the parts or another machine to take them from. There are scrap PB 1xx machines on ebay all the time.
