So I received the 2400, and it's in good physical shape. It came with a 6GB internal drive, which was loose in the case - not connected. It's a Toshiba. I popped it in the 'book, and it didn't spin up at all. So I put the drive in an external case and formatted it on OS X, where it worked very well. But back in the 2400, it doesn't spin up at all.

I even put a drive from a 5300 in the 2400, and although too big to close the case physically, it did not spin up either. What should I do? Any idea what may be wrong?

BTW - I can't seem to get the 'book to respond to a PRAM reset.
