Many years ago, one of the Calgary newspapers decided to run their April fools joke on a local computer users group. The Calgary Unix Users Group, to be specific. Now the thing about the CUUG at the time was that they were more professionally oriented because Unix was used a lot in the oil-patch. So the Herald ran a story about how Microsoft entered into a business deal with this users group. Cringe.

It's tradition (in the UK at least) to only play pranks until 12 noon. Anything done after that and you're the fool, not the person you're playing it on. Hence, to avoid being more of a fool than usual, I took it down just before 12 noon BST [
