Yeah, I found it amazing that a computer from 1989 (SE/30,) could be loaded with more RAM that came stock in some of Apple's computers through 2002. (The lowest end iMac in early 2002 still came with only 64 MB RAM.)

Heck, they made computers as late as 1998 that couldn't even have 128 MB as their max. (PowerBook 2400c, which topped out at 112 MB.)
