Isn't there anyway to have phpBB truncate the link? I've seen some otherCMS forums that take the link and truncate it with an ellipsis in the middle

so that it doesn't cause this problem.

Not that I've seen, though I haven't looked for a while. phpBB 3 does it automagically, so it won't be a problem once we (finally) upgrade to that...

Luckily with eBay auctions you can just chop off everything after the item number and it doesn't make a difference, so who knows why they put all that crud in the URL anyway -- probably just to annoy people like us [)] ]'>
