Most of the caps on most of the IIfx's are tantalum from the factory. So there's very little, to nothing, to replace.
 Just 2 caps on the extreme right side of the board are those #&%#$@!! Leaky Caps, 47µf @ 16V.

As with other Macs of this age, any SCSI hard drive with good termination should work. One of the adapted, new(ish) SCA SCSI drives with appropriate adapter could also be used.
The IIfx needs a special terminator, which is inside my IIfx (lucky me!). I'm looking for something fast, but with my cash flow, it needs to be something cheap. Boo Hoo!!!! Whah!!!!
