Did you solve the problem?

If not, I don't have time to research this, and it is 4am where I am, but another thing to look at is if the WaveLan Silver is a regular PCMCIA card, or if it is a Cardbus card.

Cardbus will not work in the Newton...the Newt is too old (like me!).
