snatched one on ebay for a few bucks and local pickup.

nothing special in there.

-12x SCSI CD ROM drive

-no HDD

-CPU card

-mobo

-some 64MB RAMs

together with the RAM from my 9500 which the 9600 is going to replace i´ve got a frikkin 768MB of interleaved RAM now.

still have to get my daystar carrier working in there.

I think Im going to install 7.6.1, 9.2.2 and Tiger.11 on there.

Congratulations!....I have a 9600 which I love, its been in use for a couple of years for me. I added a Sonnet 400 mghz accelerator and a gig of ram.... [

Nice machines, I have an 8600/300 same case just different motherboard. Are you going to fill up all 6 PCI slots?

only 5 of the 6 slots will be filled because i mounted two HDDs in the bottom drive carrier so the lower slot is blocked.

got some pics of it up - already upgraded -

so far i got in there:

2x9.1GB U2W drives in the bottom

1x9.1GB U2W in the front carrier

1x18.2GB 10k U2W

Daystar ZIF carrier

768MB interleaved RAM

some cheap realtek wifi card

Radeon 9200 128MB

USB

FireWire

Adaptec 2940 SCSI is already ordered - I only got teh PC version so its not bootable what isnt that much of a problem
