I seem to remember from reading the stuff on the net that using Rhapsody DR2 on a G3 works but without the extensions and caches, effectively rendering it a very expensive 603.
Wouldn't booting a G3 into 7.6.1 do the same (without the appropriate control panel)?

But I don't think a G3 will even boot into anything prior to 8.0.
