Since you've got the 'real deal' Orinoco card - get the latest Orinoco drivers.

There are basically two current options for upgrading the firmware:

1). The Apple Airport upgrade option (see my original post);

2). Using the PC application Alchemy http://www.lincomatic.com/wireless/software.html.

As I understand it, both of these methods only update one component of the firmware. If you then apply the chipset firmware update - you will any changes made by the Silver-Gold updates above.
