Powerbook 540c and addressing mode
Greetings,
i installed system 7.1 in my powerbook 540c and i want to enable 24 bit addressing mode in order to run an old game (Rex Nebular). Although there is an option at memory control panel to disable 32 bit addressing, when i choose it on "off" and i restart the powerbook the 32 bit addressing mode is still enabled. Is there a way to disable it or by nature this powerbook supports only 32 bit?

I dont think you can, as the 520/540 is a 68040 based machine, which is full-32Bit.
Yes, i also checked the technical specification of powerbook 540 at apple support and it says that supports only 32-bit addressing mode.
