Mac 128k 220V to 110V conversion
Hi folks,
I finally found a 128K here in Toronto. But the A/B is dead. As I have a spare board (known to be in very good condition) that I took with me from Chile, I was wandering if I can convert it to 110V. The board is very different from the 110V board as it is the International version. From what I understand, it can be converted to 110V by closing a circuit and replacing the fuse. I'm not sure, and that's why I'm asking for your help.

looks like solder a wire there at w12, and you are AT 120v
Wire on w12 and a 2.5a 250 volt fuse...
That's what I thought, but i don't know...
I have 3 boards so I will try with one and hope not to get sparks and other pyrotechnical stuff...

i wouldn't even change the fuse...
there is no way that machine is going to pull 192 watts @ 120vac -- maybe for .5 seconds when you first flip it on. Other wise pretty sure they only use about 80 watts on/idle.

I'm going to hook my 128k and Plus up to my amp meter and see what these things draw, now i'm curious.
I got those instructions out of a manual... If not changing the fuse works then go with it...i wouldn't even change the fuse...

So Uni, were you able to check the amps?
No, and i'm not going to... way to busy sorry. I'm sure its fine.. worst case the fuse pops... no big deal at all... Get in there and do it already! No place for a nervous person.
