wow very nice find, that is a lucky find if you ask me. i havent heard of anyone finding one in the trash yet (not that there has never been one found in the trash).

wow i wish i could find a Mac in the trash around me (something newer).

the only Macs i have seen around this town is the Mac mini the library uses for something, and back in the day when the schools used Apple/Macs.

i see PCs in the trash like 386 - PII era.

and again very nice find. i can just imagine if it could think what it was thinking when it was put in the trash and when you came and saved it from its fate.
