Has anyone had a similar experience, and how hard is it to fix the fan, really?

Run it on a MacPlus.

Are all SE fans loud, then? It sounds like it's rubbing against something. Shouldn't be that hard to fix -- in that case I guess my "real" problem is getting it on there.

Can OS 9.1 and 6.0.x jive over localtalk?
