I bought mine Saturday, started waiting in line (Apple Store Washington Square: Portland, OR) at about 5:00p, walked out at just past 6:00.

A friend who got in line at 7:30am on Friday at the 'trendier' Apple Store (Bridgeport Village, Portland, OR) wasn't out until after 1:00pm.

Today, the AT&T Store at the same trendy mall had a line of 30-ish people when they opened at 10:00am. (We were there for a movie.) Didn't walk by the Apple Store. (The Apple Store also opened earlier.) The line was gone when our movie was out. But they were also out of iPhones by then.
