Many thanks to Elfen and CompuNurd for your suggestions - they're both extremely helpful. As it turns out, my LC III does not have a TDK power supply, but one by 'Dyna Comp. Inc.' manufactured in India. A careful look at the caps seems to suggest that they're in decent shape - no visible leakage. They no doubt need replacing at some stage, but I may leave it for the immediate future, as I will have to go through and look at each cap to determine what's needed. From a cursory glance, I can see a couple that are 82uF 3.5V (or something like that).
In any case, I've placed my first order with Farnell, and I opted for case size C, which is about 6mm in length. This corresponds well with the width of the current capacitors, so I don't think it will pose too much of a problem with the mobo cap change. I will attempt the LC 475 first, as those caps are leaking all over the board, but I can definitely see some slight residue near the LC III's caps as well. Nevertheless, I'll post my successes/failures once the first recap job is complete.
