Macintosh SE Problems
I wired up the Mac SE and I hoped all would go well. I flipped the power switch and it gave me the start up chime. That was it, though you could still hear the insides working. The screen was dark and I moved the brightness thing, but nothing. What is wrong with it?
Could be a dead PRAM battery. Leave it powered up like that for a couple of hours, then try very quickly switching it off then booting it again. Aim for under two seconds
Didn't work. Flicked off, then instantly back on.
Sounds like the monitor itself isn't working, eg the motherboard thinks it's doing it's thing.I wired up the Mac SE and I hoped all would go well. That could be a number of things; dead components, leaky capacitors, dry solder connections, poor connectors.
