Today I got two Dell Dimensions from work after utilizing a newer computer to handle the chores these two performed. While they aren't the fastest things in the world, their parts will help my Macs out a great deal. :)

Dell Dimension L433c

Celeron 433mhz

320MB RAM (1x256MB, 1x64MB)

CD-ROM drive

6.4GB and 120GB IDE hard disks

Dell Dimension L566cx

Celeron 600mhz

256MB RAM (2x128MB)

52x CD-RW drive

10GB and 40GB hard disks

hmm... never really liked celerons...

my parents are using one very much like the Dell Dimension L566cx it has just about the same specs (maybe it's the same machine?)

Nice haul, however, old ram nowadays is fairly expensive. :D

Those were the nice Celerons. In some things they offered better performance since the cache was significantly faster than the Pentium II equivalent.

I have 'souped up' the l566cx.

It now has a 1ghz processor, 384MB RAM, 160GB hard disk, ATI Radeon 9250 PCI video card, USB2 PCI card, an older DVD burner and XP Pro. I've been wanting to make a machine that I can use to back up customer's data but haven't had the parts until now.
