On top of the refrigerator is a good place - you get the warmth from the coils to dry it slowly. I tend to give anything that's been out in the rain at least a week. Popping off the accessible panels helps, motherboard carrier if you can be bothered.

The two 21" CRTs I found sitting -in- the torrentially flooded gutter during a rainstorm are both working fine XD
