Now that I have started to use my 3400 on a more regular basis, I have been noticing many software problems; probably due to whatever the previous owner had installed/hacked with before I took it over. I'd like to do a fresh install of 7.6.1. At my disposal are:
I've heard that 7.6.1 is the minimum for the 3400, and that it cannot use the generic 7.6.1 update (needing the PowerBook 3400 specific one). How do I go about installing the OS to this machine? Will it even boot if I only have 7.6? I was considering:
Any idea if this plan of attack would work?
For reference, I intend on doing some coding on this with CodeWarrior and OpenTransport; I'll be trying to hack together some simple implementations of web-apps I use (mainly Twitter and Evernote).

- Powerbook 3400 7.6.1 updates (both the floppy and net install variants)
