Consumer and Pro models are different, the 9x00 were built to be upgraded and cost quite a bit more then the 6x00 models meant for home use. Heck I would think the 6x00 models were intentionally crippled (less expansion slots for card, drives, and ram) just so they would not cut into sales of the Pro models.
