Macintosh Portable Hardware 6 posts Sep 13, 2008 — Sep 14, 2008
I have a few mates who work for an Apple reseller and whilst having coffee with one of them this morning he says that a client has just given him a working Macintosh Portable and do I want it! Yes please, how much? Nothing, nada, free! He's bringing it round next week. [:D] ]'>

Sweet! Here's hoping the battery's not toatlly flat :)

Wooow.

Worst case scenario I'll have to get a PB100 adaptor and run it off that, it's not like I'm actually going to use it on the road.

Bah, why not? Impress your friends!

Awesome. Wish I could be so lucky; it's one of the few portable Macs I'm missing.

Anyway, some googling around would probably yield the web page I read that had details for using a replacement emergency lighting battery pack from Home Depot to take the place of a bad Portable battery.
