You need the Iomega driver, which is usually installed as a Control Panel and an Extension.

If your Jaz disk still has its original formatting (or was reformatted using the Iomega formatting utility), then it should have an invisible copy of the driver on it, which will allow the Jaz drive to mount on your desktop even if the Mac SE doesn't have the driver installed.

For this to work, however, you need to turn on the drive, put a disk in it, and then turn on your Mac. In other words, your Mac needs to start up when the Jaz drive is already turned on and there is already a Jaz disk in the Jaz drive.

In that situation the drive should mount on the desktop even if you don't have the driver installed on your Mac's hard drive.
