What happened to its Apple logo?!?

Does anyone know if those drive mods were common? I don't think I've ever seen anything like this in any Mac's expansion slot.

BTW: For those who remember my 1991 manufacture SE/30 debate, this one was made in 1991. (Mactracker and other credible resources list the SE/30 has being discontinued in 10/90 when I know it was 10/91 instead...even have sales literature from 1991 to prove it).
