I bought a no-LEDs-light-at-all Pismo battery for $3 today at a flea market. I was planning to use the guts for experimental purposes. However, it is too good to mess with. Although initially not recognized, it responded to the initiation ritual and then charged slowly and uniformly to 100% in 2 hrs 47 minutes. It runs the Pismo for 3 hrs 22 minutes with the proper gas gauge behavior and a warning at the 5% capacity left point. It's a keeper! [

sweet dude!
Sweet! I'm getting 2 hours from my as-is, untested $AU12+postage Lombard battery
I'm getting pink when I start up. I wish flea markets supplied pismo backlights.
:O :O :O :O :O
I would hurt small children for a battery for my Pismo!

Glad to hear that you found a working one at the flea today, Wally! I picked up a small stack of "known dead" clamshell batteries not longer after I ran into you. A quick test once I got home showed that they were properly labeled.
I replaced the backlight in my Pismo for $15 total after shipping. It's a tricky procedure, though.I'm getting pink when I start up. I wish flea markets supplied pismo backlights.
