Weekly recycler visit

Prices are what I paid, not the sale price on the forum. If I sell it on the forum it will be in the trading post and cost a little more since I have to clean it up and consider the gas I paid, time, etc.

Beige Macs, $10 each, complete:

- Quadra 700

- 7100/66 AV

- 8100/80

- 6400/180

- Power Macintosh G3 Desktop

- Performa 62xx

- Another one that I forgot.

Displays $10 each:

- Apple 21" Graphite Display

- Apple 17" Blue Display

Apple Toners (7), $90 total for the lot. Mostly for Color LaserWriter.

Box of random Amiga, Apple books, etc. $10

Big box of goodies $30:

- CDs

- Disks

- Three StyleWriters

- Some keyboards, little accessories, etc.

Apple ][ Paddles $2

StyleWriter II $5

I'm satisfied with the prices for the beige Macs which is what I'm really looking to save. So from now on, this recycler will be known as the City Recycler instead of the bastard recycler.

Are Quadra 700s rare or something? Because I sold one recently and it sold for a full $255 (not including postage). Yet most other 68k Macs I sell, sell for something like $20.

Cool. I could go for one of those for $10. Only with resale/shipping it could suddenly become a $75-100 Display. I talked to a guy who knew a recycler who would PAY $30 for one of those (at recycler's location) Of course metal prices are off significantly since then, what with the economy and all.

They show up on ebay once in a while, don't think I ever seen one top $100 on ebay when I looked.

I see some 950's sell for minimum bid ($10) and some top at $100+.

It all depends on the day and the alignment of the moon.

All quadras are getting rare on ebay so somebody who wants one bad enough will fight for it, I don't think the machines themselves are that hard to find YET.

Good thing I have NO plans on selling my 600av. I will hold onto that thing as long as possible.

It's all sorts of random disks, different educational programs and stuff, this time it was CDs but I have gotten hundreds of floppies as well before.
