There is no corrosion and the computer still exhibits the same behaviors when it is unattached.
/edit/ this is my cheap bulleted list:
-The computer powers on the instant it's plugged in.
-The Power light doesn't do anything
-The PRAM will not reset.
-The power manager won't reset.
-problems still occur if the PRAM battery is removed.
-the reset switch turns the computer off.
-ctr-cmd-Power resets the computer
-the behavior doesn't improve when plugged in to an external monitor
-no disk activity continues past the chime (the chime is very short)
