I don't know what did it. Right at the moment it's returned to sitting there dumbly. I really can't use such a laptop, so I am looking for replacement parts.

If I can't get it to work period I might sell the RAM, which is not the source of the problem (the RAM works great).

/edit/ and oh my, the RAM is very expensive
