I am sure after the glue is settled, it will be fine. It's only to hold the bezel tight around it so it can set. It's not permanent.
Anyways, grats on the scores! i have a rebuilt GateWay I got from my brother's wife after she got married to my brother and I had to rebuild the screen and basically tear it down after it was dropped from a foot. I love rebuilding laptops.
My dad brought a laptop from a friend over to me to fix. It was CHUCKED into a dumpster and the kid wanted to know if it would be fixed. I got it back together and it runs nicely except the fact that one of the screen hinges broke. $20 on ebay got me two hinged (Only needed the right one) and when they come, I will install it.
You should have seen it. The whole case was off. Nothing matched up. I got it fixed up and it looks great now (no broken plastic, only a broken metal hinge
)It's a Pentium III 1.0Ghz laptop w/ 256MB RAM and a DVD-ROM. The only thing that was dead was the HDD, and from what I can tell, I think that was the reason why the last person chucked it out. It's coming along nicely.
Anyways, no matter how complicated the laptops are, I always love going into them! Fun to see how they tick
