So I have access to a couple of PM 9600/200s, and I think I'd really like to use one of them to replace my current 8500 setup, as I'm really feeling a slot limitation. I can move my PCI cards, G3 upgrade & SCSI-IDE adaptor over in a pinch but...
The kicker is, the 8500 is a really nice AV machine, and the 9600 isn't really (at least in its stock configuration). There's no DAV port internally, and thus no composite / s-video jacks. Is there some way I can replicate this functionality on the 9600 through a PCI card? I'm planning on using an AM III for audio, but what about analog video capture?
Can anyone recommend an analog video capture card (with component & s-video jacks)? Bonus points if you know where I can get one. Cheaply. Or Freely. Extra bonus points if it can do output, too. Adobe Premiere compatibility is really my only critical limitation.

I don't know about analog video, but you can get a firewire card and do DV.
PCI VideoVision Studio - although the full set takes up two or three slots, from memory.
Aurora FUSE
ATI Xclaim (and others?) w/ optional external TV tuner
Iomega BUZ(Z?) external converter, connects with a fast SCSI card for storage

Videovision PCI is 1 card and you will need a good SCSI card, Telecast is the Videovision card plus the SP card.
I recommend the Media 100 early PCI cards, but you need a dongle for the software.

Thanks... gonna start looking into those. Any experience with a MiroMotion board?
No on the Miro, and I forgot to mention the Targa 2000 boards.
The nice thing about the ATI cards is that they also support displays - both VGA and composite/S-Video
